Shortcut Best Practices
Section titled “Shortcut Best Practices”For Live Production:
Program pad switching to Ctrl+1 through Ctrl+9 for maximum speed. Memorize your most critical pads:
- Ctrl+1: Live (always)
- Ctrl+2: Pre-Show
- Ctrl+3: Break
- Ctrl+9: Emergency backup
For Multi-Show Facilities:
Standardize pad keyboard assignments across all workstations. Every operator should have the same pads on the same keys.
During Shows:
Keep one hand near Ctrl+1–9 for instant pad switches. Don’t rely on menu navigation when speed matters.
